ABOUT

I am a self-taught portrait artist living in Portland Oregon. I've been drawing portraits as a hobby since 1996, and professionally since 2013. I use graphite for greyscale and Prismacolor and Derwent Lightfast for colour drawing.
I started making & painting tiny guitars in 2011 and have been steadily improving my methods and materials over the years.

As of 2022 I am a licensed tattoo artist, applying my portrait skill to skin! [Hiatus in 2025, booking temporarily closed]

The Frenzied Silence name was inspired by this poem by Nick Rhodes of Duran Duran.
